Hi
I just came across your page and I too have been having difficulty finding places to play volleyball here in CT. I live in West Haven and would prefer some place to play closer to home rather than traveling all over. Do you know of any open gyms in the area?
Thanks
Lisa
Ps. I have been playing vball for a very long time. I play all positions and have played often on co-ed teams, but have also played on women’s, 2′s, 4′s and 6′s both indoor and outdoor (beach or grass).

I play in the Shelton leagues. Men’s A and B level play Mondays, Women’s A and B play Tuesday nights, and Co-ed A and B play Wednesday nights. All games are played at Shelton Intermediate School gym. There are three courts with netting in between each court. Not limited to Shetlon residents. Competitive level of play, but A level is closer to B/C at Manchester Illing School leagues.
Since moving here from Wethesfield two years ago, I also have played at the Ansonia Y co-ed league which is a very competitive level of play. Tough to get in as same people play on same teams evry year.
This year I’m also playing for the first time in the Monroe adult co-ed drop-in on Tuesday nights. This program is unique in that they limit the number of players who can play and split the players between higher level players on Tuesdays and lower level players on Wednesday nights.
The highest level leagues that I’ve played in were Manchester’s Illing School men’s and co-eds leagues which play at A, B and C level with C level being the equal of some league’s B and even A.
I’ve also played in Hamden adult co-ed vb at their middle school. The play is mixed, with rec level players playing on the same court as experienced players. Can be frustrating frquently because of both this and because of long socializing between games.

I’ve been looking for adult volleyball in Manchester and see your listing for leagues playing at Illing. Do you have any contact information?
